NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
My name is Becca, and I’m here to recruit you… to have a happier, healthier, more balanced life – to have a life worth living, the life you envision. (Yes, that first bit is a reference to Harvey Milk.)
I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas who works with adults in individual therapy. I'm based in San Antonio, but serve clients from all over Texas. Clients often come to me because:
I work from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, multicultural feminist perspective – always an equal partner with you in the therapy process and taking your cultural background into account when working together. I firmly believe in the saying that "the personal is political," and with therapy being a very personal process, the politics that directly impact our lives cannot be separated out from this process.
While I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and strategies as we work on your therapeutic journey together, I most align with relational cultural theory. You can expect me to tailor therapy to your individual needs, while always rooted in the firm belief that the power of genuine, positive human connection can be healing.
No matter the struggle you’re facing, it is my hope that we can work together to help you not just try to survive in life, but to really live and thrive! It is my goal to co-create with you a safe, supportive, collaborative environment in which you can grow and heal. It is an honor that you would consider me in your search to find a therapist, and even if we are not the right fit for each other, I will gladly provide referrals, if needed.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Schreiner University in 2014 and my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman's University in 2017. I've been working with clients since the beginning of my graduate training in 2014, and have been fully licensed as an LPC since 2020. My experience includes working in county jails, college counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and private practice. I started my own private practice in 2022. In the near future I will be completing the process to become an LPC Supervisor with the hopes of accepting LPC Associates beginning in 2026.
When I'm not engaging in the rebellious act of providing therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, crafting, and listening to music (metal is my favorite).
